November 21st 2007
Today was nice, I didn't have as many daycare kids as I should have... I gave parents the option of bringing there kids here today since my oldest is sick with the flu... Only 2... so along with my 4, I had six today! I mostly just sanitized my house... hopeing to prevent the flu from spreading. Today I had a meeting with Nicholas "special help" teacher and the school social worker... I ended up breaking down and crying, becasue of how they were saying Nicholas was in school .. so quite..... just sits back, while kids around him goof around, in the lunch line he even was butted in front of, most kids would tell the kid to go to the back of the line, Nicholas said nothing and ended up being last in line... after he got thru the lunch line, he went to sit at the end of the table by no one.. the social worker then went over to Nicholas and told him to scootch down and sit by the others... he did.... but still didn't talk to no one. The social worker says he has a very low self asteem.. he thinks he is to shy, ugly and just not a good boy... It breaks my heart. Of course I wonder if I have made him feel this way? with my yelling and naggin the kids. I have to learn a different way becasue it abviously is not working. After Nicholas meeting, I then went the Library with Nicholas. He is very proud to tell people he now has is VERY OWN library card! I let him check out 3 books... I told him if he can take good care of them and read them, we will return any time he wants to check out new ones. He is very excited. I will be very excited if I actually see him reading!!! we got him some good ones that look his level of reading... I hope he gives it a shot. After the Library I went to Michlyn's conferences. Of course she is doing great... loves to be there, very out going just a happy cheerful little girl that is a joy to have in class :) after conferences we came homs and ate supper together and played a game of SORRY... kiddo's are now down stairs watching t.v. since they do not have school , that is there treat to watch t.v. in the living room as late as they want... just don't bother me... :) Tomorrow I believe I have a full house... 8 or 9 kids... I think we will make each family some cute little turkey sugar cookies... Nicholas has another dr. appt..at 3:00 and Erica and Mike were invited to the movie Enchanted.. so it won't be to hectic all day long.. I will get a break in there. Looking forwar to tomorrow, I can stay up late and not worry about having to wake up at 5:50 a.m. to some people like my mom would say that is sleeping in... but not me! not when your going 100 mph all day.... Tomorrow night I hope to work on a mini album for Joey's brithday. it's a cute little ABC album, I have different pictures of him togeather with loved ones doing various things... Well, since all the kiddo's are actually leaving me be, I am going to go up to bed, and get some good rest for tomorrows big day.

November 20th 2007
Well, another day has flew by once again. I had 7 kids with me today. gets alittle crazy in this small house but we manage. My older two are home from school because of conferences. that is the one thing I did tonight out of the ordinary, went and talked to kids teachers. I was very shocked to here that Erica was doing awful in Math, I have watched her improve over the summer... so I decided to stay after to talk with her math teacher... The teacher told me not to worry about that grade she is doing much better????? don't understand why her report card doesn't reflect that then now and not on how she was doing before? She also has a hard time with spelling and punctuation. Now wonder where that came from? no, Not me! Other then that her teacher said she is a very quite, respectful nice girl. Every year I get that same report.. needs help in math and reading, but she is such a good sweet girl... Yep, that's my Erica. Nicholas teacher says Nicholas is a very quite respectful young man, but she feels sad for him... he doesn't seem to want to get involved. He is always last in line, doesn't get to excited about anything... I know he tells me he has no friends in school... which breaks my heart... the teachers also say the same thing. They said maybe we should look into getting him involved in after school activities... we already have him in hockey but I guess he can't do a whole lot of socializing in that sport, I think I am going to look in to boy scouts. I just wish he had a couple good friends... the teacher says he doesn't get picked on or teased... Nicholas just sits back and let's life pass him by... it really surprises me... in Parker he was the kid everyone wanted to be around and everyone wanted him over to play, he was the one to make everyone laugh.. The move a year and a half ago, really affected him... Even his self esteem. He seems to also think he is ugly.. I have no clue where he would get that idea.. he is such a handsome young boy. I just worry about him and want him to be happy. I know having ADD comes along other characteristics. Depression, anxiety... teachers seem to think he has both... We will be taking him in to a counselor Wednesday to talk... and then in a month we will be bringing him to Monticello to a different counselor that will be able to deal with medication too. then we won't have to go all the way to Golden Valley to see his other dr. for ADD medication. I have been trying to pay more close attention to him and to talk with him instead of talking at him... I think it is making a difference. He seems to not be so angry. that is just one of the struggle of having 4 small children... dividing your time to them all... So that each one feels special. I constantly feel I could be doing something better, and I am constantly trying new things... always trying to improve. And constantly my mind tells me I am not measuring up.. I can drive my self nuts.
Erica is not feeling well today, she has the stomach flu... shoot! was hoping we wouldn't get it this year... because it is awful! luckily the kids have off this week... hopefully the rest of us will stay healthy and get thru thanksgiving...
I called all my daycare people and give them the option to either find a different daycare for tomorrow, or come and take the chance of your child catching the bug... So far... only one will be coming tomorrow, and still waiting to hear on another.
That's all I have to say for now...

November 18th 2007
Just a quick up date on what we have been up to... If there is any quick way to tell everything that we have done the last two days, it's been crazy. Yesterday was Erica's basketball tournament. They won the first game and went on to play another game later in the afternoon. But before that one we had to run home and eat some lunch and get Michlyn ready for her recital. I decided to bring along all the kids and the sitter, so that we could just drop the sitter off afterwards instead of coming home and packing kids back in the car to bring Amber home. It turned out to be an expensive event! don't understand why they charge that much when your going to watch your own child dance. But it was fun, Michlyn was 3rd to dance, they all were so cute. It was fun to watch the more experienced girls dance. I hope Mike wants to stay in dancing... I guess I am one of those mom's that is trying to relive my dreams thru my child. I always wanted to be in dance! By the time I asked my mom she thought I was getting to old to start something like that... so I joined the Dance line. Never did get to perform in anything because I wasn't able to do a full right split! Boohoo.
Anyway - we stayed at the recital for how long Brooke would let us... which was a good, she gave us 2.5 hours. We didn't get to finish watching but ooh well. Next time I will leave her at home.
After that we ran home had a snack and watch 1/2 of the movie Happy feet. Erica had to be back at the school to play her next game (which they won :)) I love watching Erica play ball. never thought I could like a sport... well, watching one anyway... I guess when it's your own child it makes a difference. She got her self another trophy to put on her shelf, hoping she will earn alot more to replace the what I call crap she puts on those shelves. little figurines of puppies, kitties, bobble head dogs, globes, tons and tons of dust bunnies. Rick was able to catch up with us and watch Erica's last game. Right after the game we had to run over to the ice rink for Nicholas hockey. After that we came home did a quick sweep pick up of the house and We read. It was a fun filled day, and an expensive one. I got my beauty sleep to be ready for my big date with Erica. Today we woke up around 8a.m. got ready to go get our hair cut, me a cut and color. after that we ran to target, chipolata and walmart... yep, ANOTHER expensive day! Its about 8:50 and I am dead tired, Hope these kids will make it a easy bed time cause I am ready for some R&R.
Until I write again!

Sept. 16th
My favorite time of the morning... on the weekends anyway... Rick is at work, and all my kiddo's are still sleeping... I know it's 7:30, alot of kids should be up by now. but I take advantage of these moments. up until a couple weeks ago, my favorite thing to do was have coffee out on my front porch... I love this place, how it's set back in the woods, feels so peacful - Today it is just to chilly. I have to leave in about half hour to go pick up the sitter... Erica has the rest of her baksetball tournament today. they lost last night, it was such a close game... girls started getting agressive at the end of the game.. coaches were even mad. one girl on our team got bit and a couple got thrown on the ground... (Erica one of them) she said the girl came up to her and belly bopped her like she was a rapper or something... Erica bounced right on her butt... I don't think it hurt her much besides her pride. another one of my favorite things to do is watch her play basketball... another favorite thing ( I have alot of favorites) I love is I get to watch Michlyn at her recital.. this year she has a cute little red/white/black out fit... she calls it her santa outfit. I know the little ones aren't that good yet, but they are so proud to be out there with the big kids... and the crowd loves em! I will have to remember to pick up a flower... last recital she had a tantrum becasue GRANDMA spoiled her with a flower the recital before! Still feeling a little crappy better then two days ago... but I hate not feeling good... I am a mother of FOUR! there is no time to not feel good! I am needed! After coming home from Mike Recital I think Erica will have another afternoon game and possibly another one tonight if they win. Nicholas also has Hockey tonight too. Thankfully Rick should be home by then to help with the running. I am looking forward to tomorrow. I am going to take my oldest daughter out on a date... We are going to go get our hair cut and then do whatever she wants which is probably shop! another favorite thing I like to do :) . Erica has been such a great help to me. I want to show her how much I appreciate her. do something just the two of us, Erica never did care about materilistic things... she loves to spend time with mom and dad... so I knwo it will mean alot to her. well, I suppose I better pick up the sitter. I normally wouldn't need a sitter, but Brooke has not been feeling well (ear infection) and Michlyn needs her beauty sleep for her big day!

November 15, 2007
Mom asked me why I haven't been writing in my blog, so I am just gonna give a review of todays events. Woke up late for work today, thank goodness it was just my sister that was ringing the doorbell, I looked awfully scary with red eyes, and hair snarled every where. I haven't been feeling well. I fell asleep on the couch and went up to bed in the middle of the night and forgot to set my alarm. I watched 6 kids today... Joe (3), Shyan (2), Aiden (15 months) Maverick (4) My two little ones. Michlyn and Brooke.. today was a busy day. We painted, and played house, and I even sweated alittle with the kids having a dance party. We got a new little kitten so we played with the kitten alot today. kids came home from school, we ate a quick dinner of soup and sandwiches, Erica had basket ball practice, her last practice untill her tournament this weekend. It will be nice to be able to clear up 1 day and 2 nights out of the week that we spend watching basket ball and running to and from practices. Rick was nice enough to bring Erica to practice tonight since I am not feeling to good. Then he came home and had to run Brooke to the dr, cause I was sure she had an ear infection... and yep, she sure does... not much to write about... I am quite boring. Nothing exciting being a mother of 4 and doing daycare... Like Sam says this is my blog don't read it if you can't handle the boredom.
O.k. well, it's about 9:15 and my kids are all running around... can't just tell them it's time for bed. there really gonna make me have to get up off this nice comfy chair and computer to bring them down to bed... As Tigger says ta ta for now. ps. I watched Winnie the pooh today too. hey I finally figured out how to look who made comments on my blog... and Hello Haley if you ever return to my boring blog. And mom here you go!
