Since my last blog, my other baby kitten that is about 8 months old had babies, so now we have 9 little fury friends here that will be looking for homes... keep your ears open please. This time I helped this cat named Tinkerbell give birth to 4 beautiful little kittens... I say I helped because I did... I had to chase her around our house to get her to get back on the birthing towel... poor thing she is a baby her self, and she is trying to have babies!! she let me pet her and I calmed her, what amazes me is she purred the whole time! Except for each time a baby plopped out.. tinkerbell would cry out. It was pretty cool, gross, amazing, slimy all at the same time.
We just celebrated my two older kids birthdays. Erica is now 11 and Nicholas has a couple more days to go and he will be 9! WOW... it really has gone by so fast. Thursday Holly picked up Erica and took her on a little shopping spree, bought her some girly things for her birthday, Thank you Holly for spending time with Erica. when you have 4 kids it's hard to be able to spend quality time with each on their own, You have made her feel very special. she adores you.
Friday we had family over for cake and ice cream... It was nice to see everyone, although we missed a couple of you. Nicholas and Erica got PS2 guitar Hero for their birthday, I knew Erica would love it, she would have enough coordination to play the songs, I worried about Nicholas being to fast pace for him, he has been playing this 1 song.. SLOW RIDE.... TAKE IT EASY.... Over and over... finally today he got thru the whole song! he actually surprised me how fast he caught on. I really didn't see him wanting to even try fearing he will fail. but he did it and he did great!
Sat. was a pretty busy day, well, RIck and I kept busy, Erica watched the kids while we took Nichoals to his dr. appt. then we brought him to a friends and went out Easter shopping. It seemed like it took us for ever... or maybe it was just walmart that was so busy and packed that it seemed to take all day. I was worried we would be getting a phone call any min. to come home, Erica hasn't been comfortable babysitting for a while now, ever since I sent the poor girl to camp, she doesn't like to be alone, she doesn't stay at anyones house, she doesn't like to be away for to long, she will occasionally go over and play at a friends, but she always makes sure we have time picked out that she will be back home... that seems to relax her and let's her enjoy or time with friends. not quite sure what she worries about, I know before she would worry about something bad happening to us while she was away... she sounds like her dad... But we went shopping and were gone for a few hours and she did super... that is so nice to know that once in awhile we will be able to do that... maybe even get out to a movie! Actually spend some alone time together, Since we have had kids, I don't think him and I have had a one on one conversation since we first married.
This morning kids got up at a decent hour to look for Easter Baskets and eggs, then mom and dad came over for a yummy ham lunch, it was nice to sit and talk before they took off for home.
THis afternoon we went over to visit Rick's parents and brought some cake, and a little Easter treat for them.
Now I am looking ahead a week and the kids will have a whole week off from school, I look forward to these times to spend time together, NO HOME WORK! but sometimes I can dread it if the kids expect me to entertain them 24/7. Nicholas has a hard time, he always wants a friend over to play no such thing as family time to him... He's a busy boy that likes to keep on the go... Hopefully the kids will get along and it will be a nice week spent together.
Today we found out that Rick's grandma has passed away... Wednesday we will have a funeral to go to up in Pierz. She has already planned and payed for her funeral. 98 years old. she was ready to go home.
O.k. I have my baby girl screaming at me, so I should go...

It's been a while
It's been a while, alot has happen over the past few weeks. The most exciting news is I am a grandma! My mama cat had babies. I found them today. I went out to feed the 3 cats that we do have and Mama looked so skinny, I looked in the dog house , lined with straw that we have set up on the deck for the cats for the cold winter, and I seen little paws stretching. I can't tell you the excitement I felt! Not as cool as when I witnessed Todd Samuel's Birth but it was neat... MaMa had 5 kittens, 3 grey and two calico. They are adorable. Anyone want a free kitten to a good home... they won't be ready for 6 weeks. If I could I would keep them all, and be the cat lady... but Rick wouldn't allow it. I think one of our other kittens that is not even a year is pregnant too! or she has a huge worm living in there.
Amy invited me to come to the hospital to witness the birth of Todd Samuel. It was very emotional for me. I mean I was right up there! holding Amy's leg so I got to see the whole thing! It was awesome!! After birthing 4 of my own, you would think it's old news... but never could I get sick of seeing such a miracle. SO THANK YOU AMY! I must thank Rick also, he stayed home and watched our kids and the daycare kids so that I could go..
What other news can I share???????????? OOH I lost another daycare boy. So I am down to watching 3 kids all partimers. I am a bit scared... but I am really trying not to worry, God shows me time and time how he takes care of his own. And besides I have to be honest it's been really nice getting caught up with cleaning on my slow days... I knew Aiden wouldn't be staying long, the mom works down town and she comes from Elk River... she sorta had to back track and took up a bunch of time to early in the morning when it could be sleeping time! I don't blame her... OOh well, in another 5 weeks, I will have an infant starting. Hopefully I can get a couple more pre schoolers in here and I will be set for summer. This weekend should be exciting. Nicholas has his jamboree Hockey, always love to watch my kids perform... Nicholas has 3 games this weekend.
Erica and Nicholas are getting exciting, their birthdays are coming up, Erica will be 11 and Nicholas will be 9! Time flies. We are having the family over for cake and ice cream.
I should up date you on the basement. not sure where I left off last time, but Rick has gotten the ceiling finished almost all the trim, and last weekend he finished the tile.. now this weekend we will measure for carpet and hopefully with a couple weeks have our selves a living room! it will be really nice.
Well, Rick's waiting to get on line - his big thing now is purchases crap off of e-bay. well, I guess I shouldn't call it crap, it has been some pretty good stuff with great prices.. I wish he would put some of his treasures out on e-bay and make us some money :)
until I write again - and hopefully not so long until the next.
