What a Genius!

We were at the kids Carnival and we let Nicholas run around with a friend, we met and ate dinner at one of the little tables which consist of pizza/pop/hotdogs/cotton candy! Nicholas was about to run off for round two and Rick tells Nicholas: Now Nicholas we are gonna be leaving in about 30 to 45 min, so stay close, that's not to far off... and he laughs at Rick, and says... YEA RIGHT DAD!!! that's like an hour away, well, I mean Over an hour... A hour and 15 min. I sat looking at him and wondered what in the heck is going thru Nicholas mind..
I figured it out: Add 30 and 45 min together... what does that add up too? 1 hour a 15 min.. so I said to Nicholas "No Nicholas, dad means between 30 and 45min... not an hour.." Nicholas says to me... Mom! it's not a hour! it's a hour and 15 min!... jeeez! rolled his eyes like WE parents don't know what we are talking about and ran away...

After typing this - another thing comes to mind. just a couple months ago Nicholas asked me how to punch in a phone number on the phone because for the life of him he couldn't find -.

I am not teasin my Nicholas, he is a smart boy, and he does really good in school if he chooses too... but he is just so darn cute... He's is a bit dingy... like his daddy... :)

Now this is how to start the morning! Notice how she lip syncs and doesn't have a clue what they are singing, shakes her little butt and flips her hair! she defiantly thinks she is all that AND a bag of chips.
She puts a smile on my face...

Michlyn and Friends

I had to take a pict. of this just this morning. I have been working really hard getting the kids to sleep alone in their own beds. Michlyn has done so good this week... but looking closer she really isn't sleeping alone.. see how perfectly they line up, and that lucky little Zac Afron in the middle!

Smarty Pants

Ms. Erica has made it on the B honor roll 3rd quarter. I am so proud of her. how do you like the glasses and pencil in the ear? I told her to look smart.
She has not made it on the B honor roll other quarters but I am pretty sure it's my fault. I never pushed her hard enough! not that I had to push her even that hard this time. She was doing pretty bad in Math and I told her no computer until her grades get better! Soon I go on line to check up on her grades and she has all A's and B's and it took her about a week to get them all up to that! Now I know what motivates her! Better get back to pulling and sorting out the summer clothes... I hear thursday it will be in the 80's!!

Gosh, it's been a while! suppose I should up date although there isn't much to update besides just been busy as ever. Josie our new German short hair is doing awesome! Never thought I would love a ugly dog like that.. but I do... she's my sweet heart... she still hates rick.. actually she hates any male. she is my kind of dog :) Rick still insists that she IS a outside dog.. so far she hasn't been sleeping out doors! We are going to get nice size kennel for her to run around in during the day while I am doing daycare... I have to many kids/babies lying around that she could possibly accidentally step on one, or knock a couple toddlers over.. she gets really excited and has fits off pent up energy.. First week in May she will be going to the UofM for some students to mess around with her.. she'll have blood work done, and all shots, and she'll be spayed... nice to have connections!
Daycare is going actually pretty good! I have started a new little boy that I use to watch when he was a baby... blued eyed little boy! He's a really well behaved little one so I feel very lucky.
soon I will be losing my long time child Tia. her sisters are now old enough to watch her over summer break, then she will be in school full time. Aiden the little boy that has 10 hands and can break anything you set in front of him will be leaving last I heard in 3 weeks... so as long as I lose no more kids, I will be alright! looking to add one more. It's that time of the year were I will start getting anxious... time to re licence... yuck.
All the kids are doing well... Nicholas starts baseball today, Michlyn will start soccer in a couple weeks so I am sure we will be extremely busy... as if we weren't busy enough. and that is Rick's most busy time at work.
Easter was great, besides the sick spell I got for about 8 hours.. don't know what that was a about, but I was still able to cook and have a nice dinner for the family, mom and dad.. The Easter bunny had a egg hunt for the kids... turn out really nice and fun. Mom then stayed with use for the following week because this past Thurs. we had a church ladies night out to attend... not sure if mom will ever come back. I know she probably thought it was nuts but she is so kind and keeps her comments to her self (unless you ask) I did ask, and she said she had fun here... and didn't mind all the commotion. what a saint you are mom! I LOVED having you stay with me.
looking forward to tonight. Rick and I are going out with some friends tonight to celebrate May anniversaries. Jill/Joel - Sarah/Dave - Marilyn/Nick - Stacey/Matt - Nicole/Paul. We will eat at the Vineyard and go to the sunshine depot for some drinks.
