Michlyn's Birthday

I slaved all day Sept 11th, on making Michlyn this 3 layer, with sprinkled choc. hearts on top... and it looks like a volcano spit out the center... I was bummed, but it tasted awesome!

Michlyn turns 7!

On Michlyn's brithday she has been telling me she wants to have a food fight, that would have gotten to messy for the house so I met her 1/2 way and told her she could eat without a spoon, she got the biggest grin and went for it!!!

Here she is opening her gifts she got a cd/stereo player, Hannah Montana CD, Hannah Montana watch.

Since on Michlyn's weekend of her birthday Rick had a football draft upnorth.. she had to decide if she wanted us 5 to stay home and she could have her self a birthday party with friends, or we could go up north and visit Grandma and Grandpa Branstner. she picked to visit grams and gramps. I wanted to make it extra fun although she wasn't expecting it, I surprised her with passes to the Ottertail Thumper Pond Water Park Passes, we had a little birthday set up for her and enjoyed water slides, lazy river, swimming, hot tub, pizza and more cake!

Here we all are except for me :) thank goodness cause I look awful in my swimsuit having a bite to eat.. It was fun, we then went to the Arcade and played a few games, got some prizes then went back to mom's for a movie. it was a great weekend, and it was something I super really needed was to visit with mom :)

My Michlyn is now 7 years old! my how time flies, I remember the day she was born, it was a hot beautiful day, kids were at school, and I would sit outside and wait for them to get off the bus, I was at the neighbors with my few daycare kids, sitting on a chair.. Leslie would always have me come visit and then sit me in a chair.. I remember having consistent contractions and thought YEP THIS IS THE DAY!!! this is the day I will have this baby! it's the day before I was scheduled to go in and be induced... the dr. thought we wouldn't want to have the baby on Sept 11th... since such a tragedy happen the year before and 9/11 will always be a some what sad day. well, Michlyn decided she was gonna come into the world and bring something good that day to remember! got the kids off the bus, walked home, called mom she came to my house, I sat in a chair and cried nervous as heck to have to go thru the pain AGAIN! Rick came home and we went. I remember the nurses checking me in the area where you are not yet admitted but need to be looked over and sure enough the nurse said HEIDI - your having a baby today! I cried because I was so happy that it didn't happen like with Nicholas when I was sent back 2 times before it was the sure thing. 3 hours later, and maybe 4 pushes Beautiful Michlyn LeeAnn Fyten arrived, I remember her being beautiful! really.. I mean all babies are cute.. but she was beautiful! she had the perfect round head! maybe that was from pushing her out so fast! the dr. hardly had time to catch her!

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

Erica on the first day of school... It started out wonderful, she was excited getting pumped up! We took some great pictures, then as we were taking the pictures we thought we may have heard the bus, but NOO can't be... it was more then 10 min. early then! so we finished up and as I was getting the other two ready to walk them down Erica comes strolling up... VERY MAD!! yep, she missed the bus... and not only that, by the time she walked back her hair was frizzy! then that made her mad so she teared up and smeared her makeup! VERY dramatic morning.. but got her off to school and everything is better...

Nicholas being VERY upset with me, because he IS NOT a baby anymore,and DOES NOT need his mommy walking him down to the busy with a bunch of daycare kids trailing along! He asked that we hide behind the garbage can when the bus arrived...

Labor Day Weekend

This weekend was such a nice fun family weekend. one I desperately needed... we called it family weekend. we rented movies, ate pizza, went out to Ihops to eat, went to Borders Books - each of us got to pick out a book - me two! went to the zoo! Rick hardly watched any t.v. which made me realize that he still is a pretty fun guy! We need to do these weekends more! or maybe make it a Friday night ritual... pizza movie/game night? Makes me feel maybe our family is normal :) not so chaotic and we really do love each other :) ha ha.. of course we do.. but life gets so crazy with list of things to do... that we forget to enjoy each other and have fun with one another... Anyway, here is me and Boo snuggling.

And here is my sad friend Buck. an Ape we seen sitting around doing nothing but picking his skin and scratching his chin and hands... what else was he gonna do? every sitting around staring at him, or whistling to get his attention. I love the zoo, but it also makes me feel so sad for some of the animals.. not all! but the apes, and monkeys and lions, and tigers, zebra's and giraffes. they need to be in the jungle running free how they were meant to run. I guess no one would then come to the zoo then just to see birds, and fish!

Tonight is a very exciting night. I know alot of you maybe have heard our struggles for years "bedtime" well, this weekend we hit the jackpot and found some bunks at a garage sale in super condition.. the little girls are so excited to sleep in them tonight... I sure hope this goes over good... rick and I need our bed back!

school starts tomorrow, and I am have alot of mixed feelings. glad to be done with the fighting and hear how bored my kids are, but I think I will miss them! and especially being not so busy for daycare...just 4 kids for daycare now... at least I have Brooke who I will be able to teach preschool to...

alright then this was super fast, because I rarely have anything to talk about we are so boring around here.. but had some excitement I wanted to share...
