Our Vacation

Fyten's Family Vacation @ TimberLake Lodge

A fun uneventful week spent sleeping in until 11:00 a.m.! Fishing, laying in the sun, playing in the sand...

Here is Nicholas excited to find treasures in the sand.

meeting feathery friends "Laretta". Everyday she would come waddlin up looking for bread, she had a chipped beak, and all the other ducks would run her off... we felt bad for her so she became one of our good friends that kept us company and we kept her filled up on chips, bread and popcorn.

Here was our cabin steps going down to the Lake.

The kids up in their loft, they spent half the nights sleeping up there and the other half in our bed all together snug tight.

Girls playing in their swim suite... great weather all week long except for yesterday (friday) bit chilly!

Another fun day soaking up the sun!

Nicholas I would have to say had the best time out of us all. That kid could fish sun rise to sun set without catching a thing and still have the time of his life... He LOVES fishing... and look here he got his own little fishing boat "paddle boat"... you would find him on the vacation either fishing with dad in the big boat, fishing off the docks, or fishing off his little boat...
This picture of the Wizard of Oz is my favorite, we went to Judy Garlands home town -Grand Rapids- and seen the house she lived in. Brought me back to my old little house that was built in 1902. hard wood floors, push button lights, a beautiful house.
It was a very fun vacation but also so good to be back home... now I have loads and loads of laundry to do, and get ready for getting back to work.

Nicholas

I thought this was pretty cool, so I needed to write it down to remember. A few weeks ago Erica told me that Nicholas woke her up at 3:00 a.m. and said "Erica I love you". I asked him Nicholas why did you say that? he said exactly this: "someone told me to shape up and tell your family that you love them". he went on to say that since Erica was there, he woke her up and told her, but he didn't want to come up stairs and wake us up. Totally a God thing don't you think? for one Nicholas is at that age and just the person that he is does not think of other people and just come out and tells them that he loves them. I said to Nicholas you know that was God talking to your heart don't you? and he said Yep, I know... I just thought that was really sweet and wanted to share...

VERY UNUSUAL NIGHT

O.k this does not happen often at all, maybe not even once a year! so I do have to write and brag about my husband! Yesterday he came home from work and had taken two of the kids to friends and went grocery shopping and I stayed back and finished up my work day, cleaned up the house for the night and played a game of Uno with Michlyn.

Rick came home from shopping and informed me he was cooking ME dinner! since the house was cleaned up, and I was really tired what did I decide to do?? sit in my nice Red Chair! grabbed a blanket, book and a diet coke... and sat there all night! for about 3 hours straight! and read a bit, watched t.v. while Rick already fed the younger two and had them in their room watching a movie and made me dinner! New York strip Steak, cheddar cheesy potatoes, and corn on the cob! We had dinner just the two of us at our table and Mike came out of the room and asked if we were having a nice dinner, and quietly walked back to her room.. it was all to weird! and Magical! It was one of the better nights I have had a long long long time! Rick Even let me have the remote! I watched trashy reality shows about Ruby losing weight and the worst boob jobs in Hollywood & part of a movie with Jason Preisly in it (whom is an absolute fox) THEN! about 9:45, picked up my book and water and went to bed! with no expectations from me! it was such a treat... Thanks Rick... LOVE YOU LAST NIGHT and so far TODAY, maybe TONIGHT... ha ha whats for dinner Dearest.? smoooooch!
