Yesterday 5/6/10 Michlyn came home with a envelope from her teacher and this is what it said:

The Citizenship Award recognizes those students who go above and beyond our expectations. Some students, who never the the recognition, display the kind of behavior that should be promoted and encouraged. The criteria is as follows:

Trustworthy
Humble
Patient
Honest
Compassionate
Not disruptive to learning
Two Students have been chosen from my classroom. Your child is one of them! Your child will receive a Citizenship Pin and a Certificate on Awards Day. The ceremony will be on Thursday, June 10th, 2010 in the Meadowvale gym, at 9:30. We would love to see you there! Your child will not be told ahead of time..... SURPRISE!

I am so proud of my little girl, I always new she brought sunshine to me, but it makes me feel so proud that she brings that to others as well. Mom and dad if your down that weekend she would love your surprise visit. Rick and I are taking the day off from work to be a part of this special moment. I am having a hard time keeping this from her, cause I just want to tell her how proud I am of her... but the surprise will be worth the wait.. :)
