My Beautiful Baby

Here is Erica and her sweet friend Sarah, they have been preparing for this night for a long time...

The 6Th Grade Goodbye Dance.

As Erica got out of the car tonight, she said Mom - I am scared, but squealed and giggled and hopped out of the car, slowly and nervously walked into the school.... I can't wait to hear how much fun you had!

Erica - I hope you have a great time tonight! Your beautiful inside and out!

Twirling around on their way to the ball!

Mouse? Rat? Mole? Erica is hoping for squirrel

MEET TEDDY

This here I think is a baby field mouse. One of the cats drug it in, Nicholas intervene before it was to late and Erica has been keeping it alive, using a syringe of milk and grape skins. Erica had to go to school today, so once again Grandma (me) had to help out... I made it a little home in a bug cage, put a little warming pack under a cloth and a soaked a Q-tip of milk... so far so good... I read on the Internet that the mouse would more likely die... it's going on 1 night and 2 days without mama mouse... do you think it will survive? You might be asking then what? I don't know, we haven't gotten that far! suppose put it in front of cheese and trap...

Well, I may as well let it all out in the open before Rick does. Yesterday was Rick's special day, he turned 40, instead of throwing him a surprise party, I decided to give him 40 gifts. alot of little things that he likes such as: his fav. gum, coffee cup, $5 gift card at Jimmy Johns, post it notes, New grunds, but I also thru in some pretty nice gifts, such as: Twin Tickets ON HIS BIRHTDAY! A suprise launch on milacs with a bunch of buddies, a body massage and pedicure, a really neat book from CM that I made online of our last year vacation in Duluth.... well, Yesterday was Mothers day - Rick got me an awesome camera!! along with Rick's 40th.. I wanted to make it his day special , spending weeks and weeks of gathering all these gifts making sure that I reach 40 gifts... the night before spent an hour wrapping them all, we were so excited that the night before his birthday we made him open up 4 presents!! This was gonna be great! The day of his birthday we woke him up for breakfast - pancakes w/ sprinkles, choc. chips and whip cream, eggs, toast, sausage, coffee THE WORKS!! After that I gave him a little back massage, and he headed outside to get a couple things done... He did know about us all going to the TWINS game, so we all got ready about 10:00 a.m. put on our Twin shirts, and dressed in our red, white and blues... got down to the dome, went to Will call to pick up our tickets, come to find that the tickets I ordered were for the previous Sunday! Happy Birthday Sweetheart! of course I bawled my eyes out feeling like a idiot! Rick was so nice to just laugh and tell me it was o.k. but that was $105 down the drain! we ended up going to J Cousinoes bar that had a big screen t.v. and we had appetizers and soda - Rick got his birthday drinks :) We then went to Broadway Pizza and had pizza... then came home for Ice cream cake... and realized that my new camera was no where to be found! of course I left it at Broadway, and someone probably tole it! I called and Nope they haven't seen it.. so feel really crummy I start bawling some more! I mean this was a really nice camera!! I run into the bathroom blubbering like a baby, and I hear a knock on the Bathroom door, it's Michlyn - she found my camera underneath the seat... I swear I searched the vehicle high and low! Then we get home to relax and have some cake and I realize that we missed Nicholas baseball practice, and Michlyn swim lessons! I am feeling like a lousy wife/mother... and mentally exhausted! But today is a new day! I will do better! can't do much worse then yesterday...

What's Shakin?

I haven't wrote in a while, so thought I should catch up. Nicholas started baseball and of course he is very good at it.. he seems to be good at anything he puts his mind too.. kinda like his daddy. Rick and I celebrated our 13 year anniversary Monday, we celebrated by going to baseball, soccer, and coming home for ice cream cake :) We did go out on a date Friday and celebrated at Russel's on the Lake. Tomorrow Rick and I will be participating in our first walk-a-thon for a cause. We are Helping some friends bring their children home from Africa. Thanks to you that sponsored us. That is at 8:30 a.m. a walk around Big lake. Hope it doesn't rain! Then Sunday a very special day... It's Rick's birthday! THE BIG 4-0!! I bought some Twin tickets... so we will be going to the game sunday, and looking forward to it... we also have a couple other surprises for him, but can't announce yet... he reads my blog. Hi sweetie. No good gossip here.

Alright, I think rick and I are gonna try going on a date tonight... The Goodwill, Home Depot, Aldi, and maybe some dinner at Perkins.
