January 27th 2008

I keep thinking how boring this blog is, I don't have anything exciting to report... didn't sky dive or rob a bank, I am just a home body mother of 4. I have to remember the reason I do write this blog is for my kids... History... So what did we do today? We all slept in until 10:15 a.m. which is very late for me ... I could have laid in bed all day today. But Brooke wouldn't allow it.
So we got up, and I made a big breakfast of pancakes,eggs,bacon... we all pitched in and did a little work around the house, I did a few loads of laundry today, and we decided to do something crazy and go out to eat for lupper. for those of you that don't know what lupper is, it's lunch & supper combined. we ate such a big breakfast and got up so late we didn't need lunch so we had a late lupper and it was great, It's always great when I get a break from cooking. It was such a beautiful day that right when we got home we went ice skating. Erica, Nicholas, Mike and I played a game of hockey... Of course Nicholas can skate circles around us... but he did allow me to make a couple scores. He still won. Then we came in and the kids and Rick played floor hockey, we watched a movie-made home made popcorn... It was a great day that went way to fast but I guess thats what we get for sleeping in so late... but sometimes you just gotta do that... Rick has completed the ceiling in the living room down stairs.. Now we have to mud, sand, paint, put the trim up, and tile around the patio door, carpet and we have our selves another room to use! Next I think I will put Rick to working on my kitchen pantry... right now it's a coat closet but could be so much more useful as a pantry to hold alot of stuff... I want him to make little cubby pockets and shelves and an area to keep my vacuum and broom.
I have been debating on signing Erica up for fast pitch soft ball, I think she has a good arm on her and would be pretty good at it. Nicholas of course would be too, he is pretty much good at everything and anything that is physical-competitive, but since he is in hockey already, and that is where Rick wants him to focus one sport a time is all we can handle. , I seen there is a little flyer in the school information on drawing. Nicholas has a knack for drawing especially trucks/cars/monster trucks... Well not a whole lot more to say... so I will get going and do my most favorite thing to do at night is to snuggle in my bed and read a good book, I am reading "The Pact"
until I write again

Heidi I enjoy reading all the blogs just to see what everyone is doing and I certainly do not get bored reading them, besides really you should not worry about whats in them, it is not for the other people that are reading them that you have to try to make it interesting, it is a way for you to journal what you have been doing and the kids have been doing. Like a book of your lives.
Keep Blogging.
