Catch up at the Fyten Home
My week and half long vacation is over, and it's going on day two back to work. Very hard to get back into the swing of things, but defiantly needed. Ready to get back to normal whatever normal means. Kids are back in school, Rick is back to work... Our vacation was fun, we ended up doing a couple fun things, our family went to bedtime stories, kids loved it - I did get out with Angie, Erica and Alexis, for a date of Chipolata (my favorite burrito making place, and a movie. Angie and I seen 7 lbs. if you want to be depressed and cry alot that's a good one to see... it was very good.. but so sad. Girls went to the movie Twilight. Erica thought, dreamed about Edward for days after... the main character in the movie.. they both are reading the Twilight series... I am glad to see Erica reading.. although I am not to crazy about what the book/movie is about... Vampires. We had new years at home, had our good friends the Christensen's over for steaks and yummy snacks, we played some games, kids skated and went sliding. speaking of sliding, I even got out sliding with my kids on our vacation , Rick cleared out a path right in front of our pull barn... Our last night of vacation we went bowling at the Zimmerman bowling Alley, if you ever want good pizza, that place is the best! I use to like papa Murphy's as my all time favorite pizza, this blows it away! YUM! Rick got a high score of 150 something... he got 6 strikes! My score was some where in the 50's. I played awful. kids got higher scores then me, but they did get to use those bumpers! I am home right now with the younger two and my nephew Joey - he really is the sweetest thing, has come such a long way... the older two and Rick are in East Bethel at a hockey game Nicholas is in. ooh that was another thing we did over vacation HOCKEY HOCKEY HOCKEY!! EVERY SINGLE DAY! This weekend Rick and I are putting in a few hours of mandatory volunteering so there is more hockey, and I even get to get up at 6:00 a.m. !! to do it... As if I don't get enough of hockey between Nicholas and the WILD, Rick asked me the other day if we should go and take the kids to watch the Elk River varsity... I told him know thanks... I do love to watch Nicholas play hockey, I am not complaining about that, it's just enough for me... I don't need to watch it on t.v. and go to other peoples games. wish I didn't have to volunteer either but it's either that or have a $250.00 check cashed! OOh something huge is happening tomorrow! Brooke is so very excited, she is starting gymnastics! she has been bugging me for a very long time, and now tomorrow is the big day! I hope it's all she hoped it would be :) but I tell you something, I think that girl will take us to the Olympics! I just have that feeling... she's good, stretchy, bendable and has no fear! Alright, kids are starting to get out of hand, how do they know when your not exactly paying attention!

Boy you had a fun filled vacation it sounds like. It is good that you do so many things with the kids, they will remember things like that. Let me know how Brooke liked her first day of gymnastics! I bet she will be good!
Wow, you are one busy "hockey" momma. Thanks for the update...you never fail to entertain:)
Looking forward to hearing about and seeing lil Brooke in gymnastics.
Happy day to you. Becky
